Last Friday I came up with the idea to start a podcast with Rob. And we did it! It's short, 15 minutes. Hope it makes you smile while doing an otherwise boring job like loading the dishwasher. oh man. I totally thought my husband was the one guy out there that acts weird the first 10 minutes at a fancy restaurant. I find my self compensating for it by acting like way layed back. Trying to send him the signal that it is OK to act normal and relaxed. I usually find it so annyong and I even sometimes think about how annoying it is going to be as we are in the car driving to the restaurant haha! Once the appetizers come he is totally fine. Something about that initial waiting period, like right before the server approaches the table.

ReplyDeleteThe only tiny bit of feedback that I have (out of love, because I want you to keep doing this every week) is to keep an eye on the pronunciation (for example, "especially" & Chipotle). Other than that, you're a total natural, and can't wait to tune in next week.

DeleteMy husband also get really weird about restaurants and always makes me go in first and talk to the host which is awkward since we live in Sweden and he is Swedish but I am not so they will talk to us in English and then like half way through he will start talking in Swedish and the waiters get all flustered.

You guys are adorable and it's great to hear your voices! I agree with Rob that silence is needed sometimes. The most stressful part of my day is the first 10 minutes that I'm home. My husband is calling, my kids are asking me a million questions, and my mother-in-law (bless her heart for taking care of my kids) wants to chat about all this inane stuff. I just want to take off all my winter stuff and unbutton my pants in peace and quiet!
