What is your objective for your podcast? Is it to just talk about yourselves? If that's your objective, you nailed it. I just think it would be nice to not be so self-absorbed in your podcast and reach out to others somehow.

ReplyDeleteYou go girl! It's on my bucket list to do some sort of marathon before 30..but I'm thinking more like a 5k hahaha. But I get what you're saying about being cheered on. That has got to be a real high!
ReplyDeleteFINALLY Listened to all of the podcasts and I love them all! It is great to just hear two married people talk about real life in an HONEST way. So often we get wrapped up in trying to have a perfect portrayal of our marriage, but that isn't what it really is! Also I think I am a mix of you two as far as exercise goes, I don't work out for stretches of time, simply because I want to be cheered on!

ReplyDeleteLoved this one. Rob's weight lifting class story was hilarious and I want to be cheered on when I run a marathon too. I did the Napa one and the only disappointing thing was the huge lack of spectators. I remember thinking while running that if I ever did another one, it's going to be a big one with lots of spectators, because I really wanted to be cheered on.

ReplyDeleteA few years ago, I got into grad school to become an SLP. Also, the same semester I began, I had a baby girl (my second and last child), and you and I broke up. I had an interesting time going (slowly) through grad school, learning to how parent two children the way I want to, and the way they need, but in the mean time, my clothing size has become a multiple of the former size I was. I guess what I'm saying is....will you take me back? If you will, I promise to run a marathon ... someday. Probably.

Congrats Sharon! I ran a leg in a relay race once. 5.3 miles. It was so hard but after I finished, I cried from joy and relief. I really didn't think I was going to make it. My main goal was to run the whole time and not walk at all and I did it! I haven't exercised in a few years now but it does make me feel better and gives me more energy. I am always so sluggish. Ugh. Hoping when the weather gets better I'll start running again. I'd be happy with running a mile every couple of days.
