I made this "meh" cupcake (inspired by this ornament), trying to be sooo clever during the holiday season. But all I could find was capital fondant letters, so it ended up looking like a lame acronym. MEH. More Eating Ham. My Envious Hamster. Or some one's initials. Basically, I realized capslock made it lose it's mehness. So I never did anything with the cupcake except eat it before the kids got home. It was goooood. Funfetti cake mix
In the future, I promise not to hoard my project failures for so long. MEH :)
Adorb! and I agree.. I try to post as many unflattering things in my life as possible on my blog.
ReplyDeleteSharon, I feel your pain. I tried to post a potentially fabulous cupcake photo only last month, but our youngest beat me to it (the cupcake). Gave up and posted what I could.

I also check everyday if you have post something on your blog. Love reading it.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Every single project I do has failed attempts. That is what I'm doing, experimenting and testing so I can offer up instructions on how to get it right. I want my readers to be able to avoid the trial and error.
ReplyDeleteSo funny- loved this post! They do look delicious though.
ReplyDeleteMore Eating Ham... Always a good plan.

ReplyDeleteI love the idea of sharing DIY fails. I don't know if your cupcake qualifies though. May not have had the desired emotional impact, but damn it looks tasty!

Oh, I couldn’t agree more! I adore crafty blogs and find much inspiration in the creativity of those lovely women. But couldn’t they, at least once, show us a project gone awry? Just once? It would surely be a boost to my self-esteem.
ReplyDeleteur hilarious.
ReplyDeletei wait the whole day for you to post
keet it up
The frosting does look delish!
ReplyDeleteI loved this - the "meh" list is one of my favorite parts of the NY Times magazine. Miss your regular posting! :)
