Monday, November 12th

I honestly thought my boys didn't have school on Monday. Whoops. Did yours? I just realized my mistake today. Hope they had a fun with their extra day off. Something tells me they did!
More pictures of their leaf adventures after the jump.

  1. This pictures look like a dream and your kids seem to be in an English movie :) It's great to see you letting them play and have a blast all four seasons, however they like, without worrying too much. They will appreciate this their whole life, for sure!

  4. The top photo looks straight out of an illustrated children's book, something woodland/foresty something. I'm sure I've read it.

Btw. So funny about their day off, you make me laugh ;-)

  9. Haha, how funny. It's OK, I'm sure they will really appreciate playing hooky with you when they are older! Your daughter's trench is so lovely! Such well dressed kiddos!
P.S. I live in SF and my boyfriend and I recently decided not to move to NYC. We're a little bummed as we've been wanting to move for some time now and afraid we missed our chance before settling down and starting a family. Your blog gives me inspiration that we can still move across country and start a new journey after getting married and having kids! :-)

  10. that's a hysterically honest mistake. so many people make that one. also, columbus day is another that gets often confusing.

it looks like they had a wonderfully productive (and more memorable) day anyway!

  11. I actually remember this happening in kindergarten, I had 1/2 day kindergarten instead of a nap time and one day idk how my mom and I got the idea in our heads that only kindergartners didn't have school? Looking back now I have no idea why we thought that but in the end I ended up getting rushed to school late lol

  12. One of my good friends missed her sons first day of school (maternelle here). She called to ask when the first day is.... Uhm today. The best moms have the funniest stories about how they've messed up!
