NYC Fashion Week Wrap Up

see more NYFW water colors by Samantha Hahn here
So fashion week is over. I think. I wish I would take note of these wonderful learning opportunities to gain insight on what I should and shouldn't be wearing. Unfortunately it takes me years of reflection to realize my fashion blunders.

Here's a couple of my favorites. Maybe I should be a fashion blogger? I'm really using this time at home to consider my options . . .

I wore this to a rock show. My outfit says, "I'm with the band."
Nope, I'm not there to teach kindergarten, I'm backstage at another rock show.
I should have been taking notes from the dude behind me. NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH JARED LETO.
He did, however, nail the rock god glam look.
Two weeks after the boys were born, ice cream sandwiches became go-to fashion accessory.
I went through a 5 year phase of dying my hair blond and twisting it all up in a messy updo. So Meg Ryan, so ME!!!
This picture was actually taken at a fashion week party.
I'm really trying!
My limp hair, those shoes, the headband. Heaven help me.
No words.
Boob belt!! Not to be outdone by the giant boob flower!
So after looking at all these pictures, I started feeling bad about myself. But then I found a picture of Rob that made me feel much better. He wore this to WORK and it wasn't Friday.

    1. Amen to that! I'm 34 and feel too old to shop at the teen stores but too young for the ladies section.

  15. I really love the boob belt outfit too. You look very cute in all these photo. I have found it extremely difficult be as fashion forward as I was before I had my son. I had a lot more time and disposable income to experiment with different looks.

  29. Just found you via Design Mom and I will be back! Your honesty is wonderful! I ADORE your outfits and I actually thought it was funny that so many of you in the first photo had the same glasses. But the boob belt was hysterical and I've totally done the Meg Ryan hair thing with same results.
