Olympic Fever: Dress Up

Oscar has been walking around the house with these left over medals from Ella's Birthday party. I told him he looked like Michael Phelps. He responded, "You mean Michael Jackson?" No, Michael Phelps. To clear things up, I showed him a few swimming videos on Youtube. Which led me into the Youtube worm hole and I watched gymnastics clips for the next 30 minutes. It was a wonderful huge waste of time.

A great Halloween costume if you live on the equator!

    4 years ago, my (the 3 year old) son had an Olympic-themed birthday party. All the toddlers ran races and jumped like crazy and everyone got at least 1 medal. We had each child representing a different country and I had food from each country "represented." It was fun, and turned out far, far better than i ever expected!

    I'm an Olympic junkie. My favorites are same as yours, but also volleyball (team and beach), rowing, synchronized swimming. I also recently got into Olympic weight lifting so I'm excited to watch that for the first time this year.

    I also love the opening ceremonies and cry each time. I didn't before I was a parent but now I just imagine how proud their families must be of them. And I love seeing all the teams dressed up together in their outfits.

    O looks so cute! I love watching synch.swimming,rhythmic gymnastics,& I'm excited to see a little bit of soccer with my little man this year. He is starting soccer this Fall:)

    Love gymnastics, swimming, diving, and beach volleyball. I am also oddly enthralled by the marathon.

    I love gymnastics, and I'm SO excited for the opening ceremonies! Those are always my favorite. I just wish our gymnastics team could be as amazing as 1996, don't you?
