Saturday at the Conservatory Garden

Remember a few weeks ago when I checked the Conservatory Garden for signs of spring (here)? I went back on Saturday and wasn't disappointed. Everything is in full bloom. Oscar declared he is going to marry Violet in this garden. I thought it was so sweet that a four-year old is already planning his wedding. He's such a romantic. I hope he doesn't get his heart broken too many times.

While the tulips were gorgeous this year, I have to say I liked them better last year. Everyone's blaming it on the unusual warm winter and spring. Has your garden been affected by the heat too?

  2. Absolutely beautiful! I love letting my children run around in a garden setting. It's Heaven on Earth:) These gardens remind me of Epcot. They have amazing gardens for miles and miles. I really miss going there with my kids:(

  3. I hope those tulips didn't melt in the crazy heat yesterday. What a gorgeous outing.

  4. Oh, love these pictures! I actually was inspired by some of your old posts and visited the gardens for the first time Easter weekend! Brian and I loved them and I don't know how I stayed away for so long... Here are some shots from my day there. Thanks for writing about them and persuading me with your pictures to get myself uptown to 103rd!

  6. Oscar is so smart! It had the same effect on me when I went there a few years ago! The Conservatory Garden is probably my favorite place in the city!

  7. I was in NYC for one day last week and went here based on your previous recommendation. So glad I did! Though your pictures came out much better than mine did (on my camera phone). :)
